Severn River Swim Club
Opening June 20,2020
Dear SRSC members,
Since our last update, our pool management company and board of governors have been working hard to get ready to open our pool. We are pleased to let you know that we are scheduled to open on June 20! Please note that this may be subject to change with little or no notice due to circumstances beyond our control.
**Because of COVID-19, we are opening under the following important requirements and guidelines. Please read carefully!**
Member accounts MUST be completely up to date in order to carefully control entry into the pool. It is the member’s responsibility to keep their accounts current. This includes entering the names of ALL family members and uploading a head shot picture for everyone. This is your typically passport type photo and is critical for safe and accurate check-in by our gate guard team. Please go to the website, log in to your account and make sure all data is accurate and complete, and upload a head shot for every family member.
For entry to the pool for the 2020 season, all ADULT members must accept and agree to a COVID-19 waiver. This waiver will be available to review and accept by clicking the button “COVID-19 waiver” in the “Manage Account” section of the website. Our gate guards will be checking to insure members have signed the waiver and will not admit those in the pool who have not. *An adult member of a family whom signs the waiver will cover all children within the family.*
No guests are allowed until further notice. Nannies and babysitters shall be allowed but must be reviewed and approved by the board prior to entry.
Members must be 14 years of age to come without a parent or guardian. Members younger than 14 must be accompanied by a sibling or babysitter 16 years of age or older or under the care of an adult member who is on site.
No parties or large groupings. There will be no July 4th party.
Due to State requirements, we will have the following capacity limits within our pool: Fenced pool grounds is 225 and inside pool is 111. Our pool guards and managers will be monitoring closely and may need to restrict/cease access to the pool, pool area, or both.

Valuable articles of clothing or other personal items will be stored away and quarantined, not accessible to members. Members who leave items behind must contact and coordinate retrieval with pool manager.

We will have an early morning lap swim time as we have in previous years. Please check the website calendar for dates and times. Pool opening hours and members swim team practice times will also be posted.
These guidelines and restrictions are subject to change with little or no notice as dictated and required by state and local authorities, our pool management company, or the SRSC board. We understand these initial actions and guidelines are inconvenient but we hope they will be adjusted for the better as the summer season progresses, and thank you for your understanding and patience. We ask all members to follow these guidelines and if not adhered to would put us in jeopardy of closing. We will keep you informed of any changes or updates via email. Should you have any immediate questions or concerns, please reply to this email or contact any board member. We hope all of our members and families are safe and healthy, and look forward to seeing you at the pool.
